Samsung Schedules Galaxy S III Announcement
Samsung let the world know that it plans on announcing and unveiling the next Galaxy device (Galaxy S III) on May 3rd 2012. The event will take place in London at a press conference by invite. This happens to be the next Samsung’s Mobile “Unpacked” event, where in past events, Samsung has not only focused on one device launch, but has shown their next wave of mobile products, including software upgrades and apps.
The Galaxy S III is believed to be the name of the next Galaxy device, despite it not specifically being named on the invite seen above. Regardless, the Galaxy S III device is rumored to have a huge 4.8inch Super AMOLED HD touchscreen with full 1080p display capabilities. Other specs include an 12 megapixel rear camera, 2 megapixel front facing camera, 1.5GHz quad-core Exynos processor (not the Tegra 3), and a unibody ceramic casing as opposed to the plastic casing from earlier Galaxy devices. It will be running Android 4.0.4 ICS at the time of launch, which has been expected to drop into most carriers sometime in June 2012.

New Samsung Galaxy S III Image, Exec Says Coming in April
Above you can see a new rendering of the Samsung Galaxy S III that we should see later this year. This one has a dedicated Home button similar to the Galaxy S II, and two softtouch buttons on either side of it. The screen is said to be a 4.8 inch SuperAMOLED Plus HD screen. Other specs we should see include a 12 megapixel rear camera capable of shooting 1080p HD videos, a 1.5GHz quad-core Exynos processor and a full ceramic body rather than the thin plastic we are used to seeing on the Galaxy S devices previous.
Adding to the hype of looking at the next best thing to the iPhone 4S, Samsung’s Chief Executive in China Kim Young-Ha made comments that the Galaxy S III would be arriving in April 2012, rather than May which is the current rumor. He did not specify where it would launch in April, but perhaps it will launch in Samsung’s homeland of Korea first, then make it’s way to North America in May. Either way, we’re supposed to hear about the official launch dates over Samsung’s Twitter page first, and anything

iPad 3 Round Up, Apple Announces Tomorrow
On Wednesday March 7th 2012, Apple plans on announcing arguably their biggest launch of 2012, depending on how much improvement we see in the iPhone 5 this Fall. The iPad 3 will be the successor to the wildly popular iPad 2, with many improvements. These improvements are what is going to set the iPad 3 apart from the rest of the tablets yet again. Although we have seen and heard of many new tablets again this year thus far, including Android, BlackBerry, Windows 8 slabs, none of them will touch the Apple iPad 3. Heck, the latest tablets still barely compete with the iPad 2, which was announced almost a full year ago.
So what does Apple have in store for us consumers tomorrow at their iPad 3 event? There are many things, all of which will leave us with the impression that we’ve been given an opportunity to witness history in the making, yet again. Apple’s ‘Thinner, Faster, Better’ is what we all expect to see, that goes without saying really. But here’s a round-up of what we should be seeing within the iPad 3.
A new Retina HD display is one of the most talked about upgrades of the next iPad. Sharp is the supposed manufacturer of the 2048 x 1536 resolution display screen. That is twice the pixel density of the iPad 2. Match that with the retina technology, and you’ll have one heck of a clear, crisp, and vibrant touchscreen to look at.
The battery is expected to make a grand entrance in what is rumored to almost double the current battery life of the iPad 2. Images had surfaced online about the inside of the back plate housing, which had seen a few minor revisions to make way for what is believed to be a bigger battery.
Network connectivity improvements are going to be discussed, as many pan on seeing 4G/LTE built-in to the iPad 3, while they will still have separate models with Wi-Fi only as well. It makes sense as many of the US and Canadian carriers have been moving over to 4G/LTE technology for over the past year. As the market continues to buy 4G/LTE devices and carriers keep expanding their coverage, Apple needs to be involved.
The processor is stated as being the quad-core “A6″ chip. This processor has not been rated for speed just yet, but it’s suspected to be anywhere from 1.2 – 1.5GHz quad-core. This would also double the current processing speed of the iPad 2, which for anyone who owns one already knows how fast it is.
The camera will see drastic improvements as Apple places an 8 megapixel rear camera on the iPad 3. Despite that many don’t take pictures with it (because it’s just plain awkward), it is something that many complained about in the iPad 2. Apple knows when customers cry out, it’s time to respond with corrections.
The bevel around the back panel of the iPad is said to be a little longer curve, with the overall casing being 1mm thicker than the iPad 2, but we’ll have to wait and see Wednesday. All in all, it looks like we’re going to be “WOW’d”. One thing we’ll miss is Steve Jobs doing the announcement and demo, but don’t think for a second that Tim Cook won’t make us equally impressed. The iPad 3 will sell itself with little effort from Apple.
I can’t wait! Can you?

Apple iPad 3 Invites Sent Out To Media, March 7th Confirmed
There’s no more talk of rumors on when Apple will unveil the iPad 3 (if that is in fact what they’ll call it). Tuesday morning, Apple sent out invites to media companies of interest and other parties to witness the next generation unveiling and announcement of the iPad family. It will take place in San Francisco on March 7th as all earlier rumors had speculated. On that day, we’ll all find out when we can get our hands on it in stores, as well as pricing confirmations, and specs.
To date, all rumors for the specs within the ‘iPad 3′ include a 2048 x 1536 resolution display touchscreen, which is double the iPad 2 resolution. It should also have a larger battery, which has made for a subtle difference in the case design. The rear camera should be an 8 megapixel, as well as embedded 4G/LTE connectivity capabilities. The iPad 3 should be running a new A6 quad-core processor as well.
Excited?

iPad 3 Cometh as Best Buy Discounts iPad 2 Stock
There’s no question that even though MWC 2012 is seeing some great new products being launched like the new ASUS Padfone and the HTC One family of devices, everyone is still wanting more from Apple. You know the only cure for for that disease, is more iPad! Best Buy is doing what it can to get users their iPad 2 fix by marking them down $50 across all models.
One thing everyone should be aware of with sales like this is that they mean a couple of things. First off, Best Buy, among many other retailers, is gearing up for an Apple iPad 3 launch, set to be announced March 7th is the current rumor. This means that the iPad 2 will be going on sale regardless of what store it’s in. In fact, there have been many reports of Apple leaving the iPad 2 in production for some time after the iPad 3 is released to use it as a ‘lower-end’ iPad device for those who don’t need to keep up with the Jones’ just yet. Speculation states that the iPad 2 will see a $100 price reduction when the iPad 3 is on store shelves. This is the same price reduction sale technique we saw when the iPad 2 was launched, and Apple marked down the original iPad.
The question now is, knowing this information, will you save for an iPad 3 which Best Buy is gearing up for, or will you buy an iPad 2 at a discounted price?
